Cantor Liat combines her life journey across three continents with her fluency in English, Hebrew and Russian
to transcend cultures, to turn diversity into enrichment, and human dissonance into divine harmony. No matter
what language our ears understand, Cantor Liat has come to learn that our hearts are always open to the
universal language of music.
As a cantor and Judaic educator, she has developed programs and curriculum to bridge the American and
Russian Jewish communities, such as: programs that brought Jewish Russian and American communities
together at various Jewish Centers, synagogues, adult day Jewish centers; Shabbat and Jewish holidays
programs in the Russian community; Group B’nai Mitzvah celebration of Russian born teens, held in
synagogues.
Cantor Liat’s experiences have included performing at life cycle events involving people of many different
cultural backgrounds. She is always open-minded and sensitive to people’s needs.
